The future of food delivery has arrived! We have partnered with foodora, Tele2, and Bastard Burgers to launch Sweden’s first commercial drone food delivery service. Starting in Värmdö, Stockholm, this industry-first initiative is set to change the way we think about last-mile delivery, offering faster, greener and more efficient food transport.

The project at a glance 🌍✈️

📌 Project name: Aviant x foodora Drone Delivery

📍 Location: Värmdö, Stockholm, Sweden

🛩️ Technology partner: Aviant

🤝 Food delivery partner: foodora

📡 Connectivity partner: Tele2

🍔 Restaurant partner: Bastard Burgers

🚀 Launch date: February 2025

🕒 Operational hours: Thu-Sun | 16:00 - 21:00

Why are we doing this? 🔥

The collaboration between Aviant and foodora is unlocking a new era of food delivery, with three core missions:

Faster deliveries: Cut delivery times and bypass road traffic
Eco-friendly transport: Reduce CO₂ emissions with all-electric drones
Enhanced customer experience: Enable more customers to order food to their doorstep

With autonomous drone flights, customers in Värmdö can now order Bastard Burgers via the foodora app and receive their meal delivered by drone in record time.

How it works 🛸

1️⃣ Sign up – Customers must sign up via Aviant's landing page to be eligible for drone delivery.

2️⃣ Place order – Choose a Bastard Burgers meal via the foodora app, select “Drone Delivery,” and complete the purchase.

3️⃣ Drone takes off – The order is dispatched from Aviant’s base and autonomously flown to the delivery location.

4️⃣ Receive your meal – The drone safely lowers the food package at a designated drop-off point.
